JR Shimonada Station has now become nationally famous as an Instagrammable spot.

Approximately 200,000 tourists visit annually, regardless of whether it's a weekday or weekend.

However, the lack of nearby places to enjoy lunch or activities, and the limited number of temporary parking spaces, have led to a surge in problems such as illegal parking, traffic congestion, littering, and trespassing on private property.

Therefore, the Iyo City Tourism and Product Association "Soleil" is working in collaboration with Iyo City to address the overtourism problems around JR Shimonada Station.

As part of this initiative, a park-and-ride pilot project, "Connecting Michi-no-Eki Futami and JR Shimonada Station with a Shuttle Bus," will be implemented for a limited time.
