The Nakayama Chestnut Festival is being held around Chestnut Village Park with the aim of improving the image of Nakayama chestnuts, a specialty of Iyo City, and revitalizing the region through exchange between urban and rural areas.
The festival will host a chestnut-picking competition for elementary school children up to third grade, as well as a chestnut grab event (100 yen per go) and a chestnut fruit competition (awards ceremony and auction). There will also be a bazaar with stalls set up by various organizations in the city, so there is plenty to enjoy.
